'In Time' (2011) wasted my time
Recently, I had to watch 'In Time,' a 2011 science fiction film for school. The movie shows a dystopian society where genetic modification programs people to grow until they are 25. After that, they only live for another year unless they get or earn more time, which is the currency fee. In this review, we will go through some general aspects of the film because of which I did not enjoy it. Firstly, flat characters. Despite being not very good with character development myself, I felt as if Will, our protagonist, has no actual motivation, reason or goal for what he does. He stays at the club to see some random gangsters fight for money (well, time). Then, he saves a rich guy without even considering the option of stealing his time, whereas most people in the area would have done that, based on what the film establishes. Why does he not do that?
